Hey Y'all!
So I've arrived in Austin, Texas. The capital of the second biggest state in America, and perhaps one of the hottest. Gosh it's hot here... almost in the 40's? This is ridiculous. It's funny, I came dressed as a Canadian: Thin pants, T-shirt, and 3/4 sleeve sweater. That would have been fine in Canada... yes Canada. NOT HERE.
SO how's Texas so far? Well, for starters, everything is big. The houses, the food packages, the houses (they have houses on top of hills, how cool is that?), the people, the cars, the yards, the streets. Everything in Texas is big.
And also, everyone is white :S I feel really foreign lol! Everyone is white, tanned but white... I don't think I've seen may Asians or anyone else for that matter :P
My flight was good I guess, I sat beside an Irish guy. He didn't have an accent though... he moved seats later anyways. But the flight was quite rough to my liking. Especially the landing, to be honest, the dropping feeling creeped back up. I've never been nervous..... until now.
I squeezed my hand between the seats (Why I did this; I don't know), and I guess I just relaxed :) But overall, I'm alive.
..
I'd thought I'd inform about that fact :3
Anywho, BAI <3
Tex-ah-ssax
That's right, my parents are shipping me off to Texas. I'm going to be there until Aug 16th...and I'm leaving tomorrow ._. aiya. I've never actually been to the States, how is it there? But knowing Texas..... IT'S HOT!
I'm excited I guess, but I'm also sad that I maybe won't to hang out with my friends as much... but new experiences are always welcomed! ^_^

So starting off a new subject, I'm not sure about this layout... cause the title is too small? I don't know yet.. although I found some other pretty cool layouts. Or templates whichever. What do you think? Or more like what do you think Maggie, my only follower? :P
I had some others in mind:

A Sigh of Relief.
So that's it, exams are OVER. Well they were over last Friday but I didn't have time to publish a "full official announcement". Teehee. So how did they go you ask? You can say math went pretty well as I sat there for 15 minutes waiting as the clock would tick-away faster so I could finally leave. Double-checked twice and finished in a whole whopping 45 minutes. Grade 9 math is really a joke... and I'm not doing any crazy math-enhancing kumon like all the asians out there.
So Patty sat there for 15minutes listening to the clock and passing the time by drawing on my formula paper. Wonderful fail drawings, but that's okay I passed the time. After 450 ticks and another 450 tocks, I exited the classroom. In the hallway, I started doing my happydance consisting in a series of awkward super asian happy "dance" moves. That was my last exam!
My French exam was pretty relax... I think I wrote way too much though. Hmf, whatever, there is no such thing as too much writing? :D But that whole 1h30 was filled with whispers of answer-sharing (I admit, I cheated for one fill-in-the-blanks answer...bad patty I know), a girl received a text msg and you could hear the resonating vibrations, the steps people were taking outside, and the footsteps of the guarding teacher patrolling our class. What a wonderful exam.
What else? Gym written exam! Like seriously? It's ridiculous. It was basically this one guy who wouldn't shut up. I swear I was ready to beat him with my pencil case; he sat in front of me. But nonetheless, this exam was pretty easy too. I just messed up on the badminton serve question... asianmajorfailiknow.
And last but not least, my wonderful intergrated arts exam (visual art, drama and music). It was pretty easy to cheat on that exam, I witness people doing it... Though I did not >.< Also, our teacher was very unaware of his surroundings which made it even easier to do so. All that I remember from this exam is that my hand hurt was cramped and hurt after it. Imagine being able to sqeeze your hand in a jar and wiggeling it around for a good hour and a half and then breaking the jar... yesh my hand felt the same way... Anyways, I guess this sums up my super awesome exams.
Here is an example of a zen- like method for future exams (click)
(Rant Alert!) EQAO anyone?
O.M.G. The EQAO. We got our results back from our teacher today, I did good... if you dont' count the ONLY question I got wrong.
I had one mistake out of the whole test. I was probably the easiest question not to mention the very first one.
My thoughts when I heard the news.
Hey Patty, look at that you got one of the highest marks... wait a minute. WHAT'S THIS? ONLY ONE QUESTION WRONG?
Oh god, I remember this. HOW CAN YOU GET THIS WRONG, you know this!!? *starts self-mutilation. E.g: Banging head on desk.
Oh yes this always solves the problem. Anyhoo, I'm so mad at myself. For once, I could have gotten a perfect test. Not that I didn't get it during unit test but this one is different...
Why oh why magical Math God, does this always happen to me?
Always screwing up just a little, enough to make it a big deal @_@ This totally sucks. Why can't I always get perfect like all my asian descendants?
You can now call this.
An Asian fail.
[Insert Title]
Hai Thar World,
3 words. EXAMS EXAMS EXAMS. AHHHHH! I'm going crazy, well not really. But I have been really lazy lately (you can thank the super easy term for that). Math, French, Gym and Integrated Arts... how much more awesome can it get? Not really... It's been getting me very lazy since I practically didn't get any homework. Lucky me eh?
OH OH OH!! >.<
Guess who got their IB acceptance letter and is officially signed up to take Grd 11 math next year :) That's right you guessed it, my friend Cathy. Just kidding, it's me! (*facepalms at the fail attempt of the joke)
The thing is that since the program is new to my school, they NEED people to join the program so basically you automatically get in. But but but... It's always nice to make it nice and official by getting an acceptance letter through the mail :)
---------------------------------
But that's enough about school. What's new with life? I got a haircut? It's okay I guess, I don't hate it... but I guess I have to let it grow a little before really liking it :)
I guess that's all for this entry.
Sick...ah phooie
Pros:
- No school? :D
- HOMEWORK TIME.. well if you're feeling good enough to do it.
- Sleep :)
- Awesome make you feel better meals!
- Chillaxing time at home?
Cons:
- You feel like crap.
- You look like crap.
- The medicine taste like crap.
- You're tired like crap.
So as you've noticed, being sick doesn't only have downsides to it. But is all the same, a pain in the butt. Home alone with a mug of french vanilla in front of a computer.. Yup that's what you called being sick...
Updates!
I've been so busy. Aiya only two post in May... I'm so bad. Woot woot badass patty :P Anyhoo lots of things have happened lately and been going through my mind.
So first of all, May 25th. What's so important about that day? Well.. it was my birthday!! :D:D I got a phone. Super uber right? And my inbox got spammed and I got the ritual birthday harrassments at the pool :P But all that was fun
On the sidenote, I've joined the Visual Arts Commitee at school :) So we have an exposition next week, and we're making shirts... Which I am half done. Fml. But it's all fun I guess.. People coming together to share their art :D!!
OOOO... MMAY 27th. We had the district games. And guess who's school is number one in the district? THAT'S RIGHT.... OURS. Renaissance are the winners of the 2008-2009 District Games. It was one of THE best days of the school year :)
This weekend, I'm biking 50Km for Heart and Stroke :) Wish me luck >.<
And that's it for a quick update... I thought more happened .. but I guess it didn't. Anyhow, I'll try to update more ofter ehe.
KTHXBAI <3
