How to solve a 3x3x3 rubik's cube


There's a method of solving this particular cube, an algorithm to it. Contrary of what most people think; you do not just solve it like you scramble it. Solving the Rubik's cube consist of putting the pieces (colors) in their designated spot. It's a bit confusing at first but when you get the hang of it, it's a piece of cake! Then, with a bit of practice, you learn new techniques (faster), and become a real pro!

When you get advance you can use Fridrich's Techniques which lessens the steps, badmephisto explains it well. This method combines the step of putting the corners and making the two lines together:

Some tips to increase your "rubik's cube solving" that I recommend are:

- Putting Vaseline in your cube...yes, I know, sounds weird. But it moves like a dream after. Here's a video that explains it.

So there you go. Now, you know as much as I do about the rubik's cube.. My record was around 1:25 sec...yea, I know...not the best time.
